Angel Beats

Name : Angel Beats
Aired: 2010
Episodes: 13
Genre: Action/Drama/mystery/supernatural
summary:
Otonashi Yuzuru wakes up one night in the middle of an unfamiliar school with no memories other than his name. He is met by a girl holding a large sniper rifle, Nakamura Yuri, who tells him that he’s dead, this is the afterlife and that she leads a guerilla group fighting against fate, God and the controller of this world, the student council president who they call “Tenshi”. Abiding by the rules results in disappearing, supposedly due to being erased by Angel and/or God. Otonashi joins the Battlefront, and so then the story begins...
Several flashbacks are placed throughout the series to give some of the characters' backstories. Each flashback is very emotional, very real, and, most importantly, human. You can relate to each character incredibly well, because they are presented as human beings, and this sucks you completely into the story..
character :
Most importantly, the characters of Angel Beats! are amazing. I am not only talking about their design but rather about the effort that was put into creating unique characters with special backstories, new personalities and exclusive traits. Most of them don’t fit into the set stereotypes of a main cast and at least I truly appreciate this novelty of Angel Beats!.
Art:
This was in fact, a weak point which the production crew quickly fixed. Up till episode 3, the art was crud : quality was everywhere. But after episode 3, the art quality improved drastically.
Music:
The sound work is exceptional though, with an impressive score and amazing Opening and Ending songs.every songs in this anime is too good The voice acting is also superb, something that is often overlooked since most shows have great voice work these days, but it is worth commending the seiyuu (voice actors) on their performance, which add extra depth to the already impressive characters.
Overall:
A great story, a wonderful cast, lots of potential..
might be a short show with only 13 episodes but it certainly gets to you. It has a great message that is beautifully wrapped in one clear storyline and told by charming characters. So all in all I have to give Angel Beats! two big thumbs up...
