Synopsis:
It's a story about a teenager, Teito Klein. He is a student of Barsburg Empire's Military Academy. This academy is famous for training elites. The students of this academy practice an ability called ZAIPHON. Zaiphon is used in fighting while the verities of using zaiphon depends on the nature of the soldier who practice it.
The students of the academy don't have any memory of their past. They are nearly like slaves. Teito is one of these most promising soldiers produced. He is befriended by a fellow student called Mikage. Before Teito's final exam he comes to know about a dark part of his past. When an attempt to assassinate Ayanami, a high ranking officer who killed Teito's father, fails, Teito is locked away awaiting for punishment. Only wanting the best for Teito, Mikage helps Teito to escape. Teito ends up at the 7th District Church where he is taken by the bishops. There Teito attempts to evade the grasp of Ayanami and the Military so that he can rediscover his memories and can figure out the secret of being chosen for a special power.
