Plot: An unnamed atheist Japanese Worker in the moment of being murdered by his disgruntled subordinate who he had fired for having poor performance at work is confronted by a self-righteous entity who he refers to as "being-x". That being-x condemns him for not acknowledging him as god. That Japanese atheist is punished by being-x and is reborn as a girl in a world which is similar to world war 1 era Europe and pre world war 2 timeline and in that world magic exists which widely excepted in the society.

The atheist is reborn in a country which at the time is an empire similar to pre world war 1 German empire and her country is constantly at war with it's neighbors. The atheist who is reborn as a orphaned girl named Tanya Degurachaff. According to begin-x if Tanya does not die a natural death or submit to him she will stop getting reincarnated and will be sent to hell for the sins of her previous life.

In order to save herself from this faith Tanya decides to join the Mages division of the empires army and fights the war so that she could get a higher rank and be safe from the battlefield. By doing so she could leave the risk of getting killed. Even though she has body of a little girl she soon becomes a ruthless soldier who prefers efficiency and her career over anything else, even those who are beneath her specially those who get on her bad side.
